Ride Em’ Cowboy

All I have to say about a few of Casen’s pictures is…OMG. When his mom broke out the cowboy hat and boots, I couldn’t believe it! We got some hilarious shots of him in his getup. I met Casen’s mommy, Emily, at one of the Rocky Mountain Bridal Shows. She oversees the wedding and event planning at Foothills Park & Recreation District. So, I was so happy when she called to tell me that she had finally had her baby and was ready for some pictures. Congratulations Chris & Emily on your little cowboy!

Bob & Stacey’s Engagement…

I got to hang out with Bob & Stacey a couple of weeks ago, while doing a photo shoot for their extended family, so getting together with them for their engagement shoot was relaxed & laid back. They are a couple of characters & their humor is right up my alley! We went to Clear Creek Canyon in Golden, and then walked around downtown Golden area, and found some great locations there. We lucked out with the weather, as we all thought we were going to get rained out, but it turned out to be a perfect evening. Congrats, Bob & Stacey!! I’m so glad we are going to be a part of your wedding day.

Like Pulling Teeth…

Well, there’s got to be a first for everything during photo shoots. And, this one just might take the cake for most entertaining kid’ shoot. Raphaelle, came to the session with a very, very loose tooth. Halfway through the session, her mom yanked it out. Of course, I was there to capture every moment of it!! Raphi, her sister, Alex, and her mom were here visiting from Paris, so we took a day and went to Hudson Gardens. These girls definitely kept me on my toes, and I was pulling out all the stops to get them to smile. But, in the end, we got some good pictures. Bribery is such a beautiful thing!!

Before the tooth was yanked…

Here it comes!!!

OWWWWWWWWWW!

There’s a beautiful smile!

Chad & Kristi’s Wedding Day…

We spent the day with Chad & Kristi at Boettcher Mansion in Golden. Their ceremony was held on an overlook, with a beautiful, serene background behind them. Chad & Kristi are such a cute couple, and they are so happy and full of life. The vows they said to each other and the letters they read really touched a lot of hearts and brought a lot of tears into everyone’s eyes (including mine!!) Every time Jon and I leave a wedding, we feel so blessed to have been a part of the most important day in someones lives. On a crazy note, Jen, one of Kristi’s bridesmaids was one of my friends growing up in North Platte, Nebraska. I hadn’t seen Jen since high school, so that was really neat. It’s a small world! Congrats, Chad & Kristi…we hope you had an amazing honeymoon. Can’t wait to hear about it!

Joey & Sarah’s Engagement

Photographing Joey & Sarah last week was so much fun. They are an adorable, young couple, who have been together for 7 years! I met Sarah’s mom at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show, and just loved her. So I was excited when they chose us to photograph their wedding in 2009. Joey is in the Airforce, stationed in England, and Sarah lives in New York. It was so great to capture them together & in love after being apart for so long. We went and walked around on the DU Campus, which is beautiful with lots of great architecture and backgrounds. Here are the artists’ faves…

Congratulations, you guys! We can’t wait for the big day!!!! :)

Jessica & Dave…Life Within

What an adorable couple these two are! I had such a great time hanging out with & photographing Jessica, Dave, their puppy and of course, the little one on the way. Jessica is such a beautiful girl, and she looks so dang cute pregnant. Dave is a firefighter, so we had to break out the gear and do some shots that are worthy of being displayed at the fire station! Congratulations, you guys. I’m so glad I met you both, and can’t wait to meet your little miracle…

Dan & Courtney Got Hitched!!

It was so hard to pick only a handful of pictures from this wedding, because there are SO MANY beautiful pictures. Dan & Courtney got married last weekend at The Aspen Lodge in Estes Park. The day started out cloudy and rainy, and turned into perfect weather for the ceremony and reception. And speaking of the reception…there was some serious, and I mean serious, dancing going on there. It was so entertaining and easy to photograph when so many of the guests were having a great time on the dance floor. I just HAD to post some of the classics…Here’s to a beautiful life, Dan & Courtney! Thanks for sharing your day with us. :)

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!!! You look straight out of a bridal magazine, Courtney!

Looks like the cupcakes were enjoyable…

Dancing Queen!

The groom did the worm…need I say more?

A very respectable Michael Jackson impersonation!!

The infamous “Shot-Ski”

The Frankel Family

I am so lucky to meet & photograph some of the nicest people around! The Frankel Family were so delightful to work with. I was introduced to them with hugs and warm smiles, and I felt right at home with their family. Noah & Ainsley are soooooooo cute, and Noah was quite the little model. Their “Pa & Mimi” were in town from Arizona for one more day, so I was glad we had the chance to get some pictures with all of them together. Thanks, guys! I had a great time with your family. One of my faves of Ainsley…

I love the colors in this one…

Too cute!

The camera loves Noah!

Christian & Sophia

I met my friend, Alma, last week to photograph her two little cuties. Sophia does not like the camera. I am not joking. I managed to get a few where she wasn’t screaming when she looked at me, but overall, it was not a good day for photography! :) Good thing big brother, Christian, was a little ham. I got lots of great pictures of him. And as for the two of them together…not gonna happen!! I told Alma she owes me a margarita or 20 after this session. Just joking, Alma. (Sort of). Ha ha.

This is my favorite picture of Sophie…even though she looks like she wants to punch me!

Here’s what most of the pictures of Sophie looked like!!! :)

A dream come true for Christian…

Yay! She smiled!!!

Destination Jamaica!!

Yeah, mon! Destination weddings have sure become popular in the last couple of years, and we were lucky enough to be a part of one this summer in Jamaica. The wedding of Ben & Melaine was held at the beautiful Sandals Montego Bay. The staff, the culture, the people from Jamaica were all so unbelievably wonderful. It was hard to return to the States! I must say that spending four days with the couple & their family and friends really helps us develop a comfortable relationship, which always makes for better pictures! We are so excited to expand on this area of our business, and look forward to our next destination in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. What could be better than taking pictures of beautiful people in beautiful places? :)
